SYNOPSIS:

A young man of mysterious origins and a bone to pick with those who call themselves heroes. Ostensibly a nobody with nothing to his name—not even a criminal record—he appeared at the doorstep of the League of Villains one day, after the visionary Stain presumably uplifted their cause against heroes. Dabi has steadfastly refused to divulge his true identity, preferring to be called by his chosen alias, and declared himself the successor to Stain's ideals:

There are no true heroes, only empty husks chasing glory. He will be the one to drag them down to earth to face their judgment.

For what it's worth, he stayed on with the LOV, hedging his bets on the group to help achieve his dream. His words hint at a haunted past and earth-shattering secrets he refuses to divulge quite yet, not while he's making a name for himself racking up kill counts of heroes and petty villains alike that rocketed him up the wanted list. He's proving to the world that he's serious about his quest, and whoever stands in his way is only fuel for his flames.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Aloof. Secretive. Callous. Loner. If looking like an actual recreation of Frankenstein's monster doesn't keep you away (yes, that is burnt skin haphazardly stapled into cohesion), his charming personality just might do the trick. Dabi's nothing if not an uncommunicative mystery wrapped up in steel staples and verbal barbs, with hostility radiating off him as surely as his trademark flames. He doesn't hesitate to take a dig at friend or foe, and can turn to murder at the drop of a hat (success being plotting-permissive, of course). Unapproachable, to say the least.

ABILITIES:

Aside from his Quirk, Dabi himself is not particularly strong nor quick. He's been taken down by opponents relying primarily on hand-to-hand combat skills before, and he generally doesn't fight anyone who can get around his flames and physically outmatch him. For this reason, and because of his own lack of resistance to fire, Dabi chooses his fights carefully, and prefers to go in for sneak attacks and a powerful offense to end battles quickly. Despite this, Dabi can and will persist through burning his own body if backing out isn't an option.

Dabi's Quirk (or superpower) allows him to generate blue fire from any part of his body. These can range from just a flicker to large blasts that engulf multi-story buildings. His fire is implied to burn at higher temperatures than common flame, possibly up to around 1,500 °C (~3,000 °F), the real life threshold for blue flames. If desired, generating his fire can emit enough force to knock steel doors off their hinges, and he can also use this basic technique to propel himself through the air in linear directions.

Dabi also suffers from a unique weakness: his body is incompatible with his Quirk. He does not have the flame resistance needed to wield his own powers, meaning that with extended use of his Quirk, he is susceptible not only to overheating, but also to burning himself. While this doesn't stop him from fighting with fire, the longer and more continuously he's using his Quirk, the more damage he takes.
